About the Bairs Foundation
The Bairs Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps people suffering as a result of a catastrophic accident. We provide financial assistance to families that need help paying for basic living expenses during the course of litigation.
The for-profit, non-recourse industry is unregulated. Many players in the litigation finance space have business models that make the cost of capital exorbitant for plaintiffs. But access to capital for families enduring a personal injury lawsuit (even at very costly rates) is so often preferred over letting go of the quest for justice. Funding families in need during the course of litigation is critical to the civil justice system. The Bairs Foundation provides low-cost access to capital so families have the resources to go the distance with their lawsuit. They offer low, simple interest in the name of the Seventh Amendment.
Life keeps happening even in the face of a personal trauma or illness. Bills, expenses, medical costs, student loans, and everything else are mounting. The Bairs Foundation brings together the resources, expertise and vision to find the right funding and front-end counseling to help people throughout the legal process. Clarity is critical to success. The team communicates with families on a level that ensures they are making informed decisions about their financial future.
The Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ) is a nationwide leader among trial lawyer associations, whether preventing tort reform by Big Tobacco or developing a revolutionary approach to workers’ comp insurance litigation. PAJ is aggressive in protecting citizens’ rights and providing members with a wealth of resources and education to work smarter and better prepare for tomorrow’s challenges.
The Public Justice attorneys team with private attorneys around the country to fight injustice and preserve access to the courts for ordinary people. Their adversaries have included deceptive pharmaceutical companies, irresponsible manufacturers, unscrupulous payday lenders, and many other wrongdoers.
The Maryland Association for Justice, Inc. (MAJ) represents over 1,200 trial attorneys throughout the state of Maryland. MAJ advocates for the preservation of the civil justice system, the protection of the rights of consumers and the education and professional development of its members.
